How it works

Three steps between "what is this?" and knowing for sure.

No chatbot guessing, no sponsored scores — the same rules, every time.

01

Scan the barcode

Point your camera at any product. No typing anything in.

02

Match it to your child

Add each kid's age and allergies. The verdict adjusts to who's using it.

03

Get a straight verdict

Safe, Caution, Not Recommended, or Not Yet Verified — with the reason why.

The verdict system

Four tiers. Zero ambiguity. Never paywalled.

Every scan gets the full verdict, free or paid. You only pay for convenience — never the answer.

Sravani, founder of Rambo

My son was eleven days old the first time I stood in a store aisle, phone in one hand, baby wash in the other, trying to read six-point-font ingredients while he cried — and gave up, buying the bottle I recognized from a commercial instead.

That kept happening. So as a software engineer and a new parent, I built the tool I actually needed: a straight answer, matched to my kid, never behind a paywall.

Parents already scanning

From our early cohort.

"I scanned a teether I'd already bought and it flagged a magnet hazard I had no idea about. That alone paid for the download."

Priya M.
Mom of 2, Austin TX

"Every other app I've tried gates the actual verdict behind a subscription. Rambo just tells you. That's the whole point."

Daniel K.
Dad, first-time parent

"My mother-in-law watches the kids twice a week — now she scans the same way I do and we're not guessing differently."

Sarah T.
Mom of 3, Seattle WA
Questions

Before you download.

Is the safety verdict really always free?

Yes. Every scan gets the full verdict, free or paid. Paid unlocks more kids, sharing, and history — not the answer.

Where does the safety data come from?

Verified labels, CPSC and FDA recall feeds, and published toy-safety standards. AI only cleans up label text — it never decides the verdict.

What if a product hasn't been reviewed yet?

You'll see "Not Yet Verified" instead of a guess. We'd rather tell you we don't know than fake a Safe rating.

Your next grocery run is a lot less guesswork with Rambo in your pocket.
