This is a plain-language summary for the early-access site. A full legal privacy policy will be published alongside general availability — this page describes our current practices and principles.
What we collect
- Account basics: email address, household and child profile info you enter (first name/nickname, birth month, allergies you choose to add).
- Scan activity: barcodes scanned and the verdicts shown to you, stored so your history is searchable later.
- Basic device and usage data to keep the app working and to fix bugs.
What we don't do
- We don't sell child or family data to advertisers or data brokers.
- We don't let sponsors or brands influence a safety verdict — the rules engine runs the same way regardless of who makes the product.
- We don't share individual scan history outside your household without your permission, other than with caregivers you explicitly invite.
Sharing within a household
When you invite a partner or caregiver to a child's profile, they can see that child's scan history and verdicts. You can remove their access at any time from account settings.
Your choices
You can export or delete your account data from within the app. Deleting your account removes your scan history and child profiles from our systems, aside from records we're required to retain for legal or security purposes.
